The former Santos forward praised his best friend and teammate for his winning goal against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The Argentine who started the match on the bench after his wife delivered their second son in the past week came off the bench to win the match yet again.
His strike partner believes the Barca legend who was the factor for the win.
"We got a quick equaliser which was very important," Neymar told Movistar Plus.
"Messi then came on and he always makes the difference. We went on to win the game."
