We are working very hard on transfers - Wenger

The Gunners manager has pleaded for patience as Arsenal fans demand new signings be made.

The Frenchman said he has a team of people working day and night in a bid to bring in new signings.

The gunners have seen transfer targets Karim Benzema and Grzegorz Krychowiak decide against a transfer to Arsenal in the past week.

However,  Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal are working "24 hours a day" on potential signings before the summer transfer window shuts.

The only signing made so far by the Gunners has been Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer.

Despite the lack of any midfield or attacking reinforcement, Wenger has discussed the hard work going on behind the scene.

While speaking to reporters on Thursday the Frenchman said:

"I'm available 24 hours a day and I have a whole team behind me working round the clock."

"You have specific targets and then another becomes available because of something else."

The Gunners who have made a disappointing start to the Premier League season were held to a goalless draw at home to Liverpool on Monday night despite being touted as potential title favourites.
