According to Dailymailuk Jurgen Klopp is expected on Merseyside on Thursday afternoon as Liverpool wrap up his appointment as their new manager.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss has been in talks with Liverpool's hierarchy - they have been led by Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon and Chief Executive Ian Ayre - and discussions are almost complete.
Klopp has agreed a deal of at least three years and he can expect to be paid a salary of more than £4million per season.
The German is flying in to Merseyside on a private jet to complete formalities ahead of an official announcement on Thursday afternoon.
There is no indication as yet over whether Liverpool will be able to make a formal announcement on whether they have reached terms with Klopp but the situation remains fluid.
The ambition has always been to use the international break as an opportunity to take stock and have a new manager in before next Saturday's trip to Tottenham.
Bar any late, unexpected twists, that will be the case.
