Bacca is like Shevchenko - Galliani

AC Milan CEO spoke of how Colombia international Carlos Bacca reminded him of club legend Andriy Shevchenko. The player who joined the Milan club during the last transfer window scored twice against Palermo last Saturday.

Galliani speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport revealed how seeing the new striker's third goal reminded him of Andriy Shevchencko's goal against Roma in 2004. He said:

"In certain movements and then in the way he headed the third goal against Palermo, Carlos brought Sheva back into my mind."

"At the stage I thought of the goal that Andriy scored against Roma, the header that was decisive for the title in May 2004. And then also when he scored against Porto in the European Super Cup in 2003.

He also revealed he spoke to the former striker a day after the game

"Coincidentally, the next day I got a call from Shevchenko. I spoke with him and he had seen the game and wanted to compliment us. The comparison of him and Bacca was not unanimous."

His two goals against Palermo were his second and third goals for Milan since joining from Sevilla.
