Barcelona superstar Neymar has revealed he held talks with Manchester United over a move to the Premier League this summer.
Rumours of a move by Manchester United to sign the Brazilian was abound through the end of the transfer window.
The Brazil captain who is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world.
He was an integral part of Barcelona's treble-winning side last season scoring 39 goals with goals through the knockout stages of the Champions League to the game clinching third goal in the final.
The player himself has now revealed he could have been plying his trade at Old Trafford this season.
Speaking to ESPN, he said:
'We had conversations, but there was nothing concrete.
'I heard that there were offers but none were made to me.'
After United failed in their move for the former Santos player they eventually signed Anthony Martial from Monaco on deadline day.
The Frenchman has hit the ground running with four goals in his first four matches in all competitions for United.
Despite the form of the Frenchman, some United fans will surely view Neymar as the one that got away.
Neymar is now concentrating on improving as a player at the Nou Camp, and has revealed his aim for the season... to make it into the top three players in the world.
He continued: 'I want to keep giving my all and evolve season to season. I hope I will be on the Ballon d'Or podium this year.'
