After Celta Vigo's thrashing of the Champions League holders sent shockwaves through European football, Madrid's Croatia midfielder Luka Modric has however stated that it doesn't bother him.
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has stated Barcelona's problems but admitted to being "surprised" by their rivals' big defeat against Celta Vigo.
His club defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-1 on Wednesday night thanks to a Karim Benzema brace. The result saw Rafa Benitez's side edge past their rivals to go top of the La Liga table.
Modric said while the huge loss Barca suffered meant little to him and his teammates, he was shocked by the severity of the beating Luis Enrique's side took.
"We have to look ourselves and not be worried for other teams," he said.
"But we were a little bit surprised by the Barcelona defeat."
