Cristiano Ronaldo had failed to score in all his previous matches this season with his last goal coming in July.
He however ended what was an unusual run for him as he hit five goals in a ruthless performance and becoming Real Madrid's record goalscorer as his side thrashed Espanyol 6-0 on Saturday.
The Portuguese scored a hat-trick inside 20 minutes with Karim Benzema scoring his side's fourth.
As someone who never eases up Ronaldo then grabbed two more in the second half to complete the rout.
The fourth goal moved Ronaldo past Raul in the scoring stakes, with the former Manchester United man now on 230 goals for the club.
