After seeing several bids rejected for England youngstar and Everton defender John Stones Chelsea are set to turn their attentions toward Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour instead.
After going as high as £38m for the Everton defender they could complete a deal for Tunisia international Aymen Abdennour for £15million.
Other clubs rumoured to be interested in the Monaco defender are Liverpool, Valencia and Barcelona. Chelsea are hoping to complete the deal before Tuesday's deadline.
