Roberto Soldado scores one and assists two - puts Tottenham misery behind him

After two years of misery in England, a return to familiar grounds has resulted in an upturn of Roberto Soldado's fortunes. The ex Valencia player continued from where he left on matchday one.

On friday he made the difference for his new side scoring one and assisting another two as Villarreal beat Espanyol 3-1 in La Liga.

It will be recalled that the Spaniard scored in the season opener as Villareal picked up a  1-1 draw away to Real Betis.

After two seasons of toiling at White Hart Lane, Soldado will hope to get back his old form with Villarreal. Things are already looking better.
