Baldini leaves Tottenham after two years

Tottenham's technical director Franco Baldini has left White Hart Lane after a mixed spell in which he oversaw the restructuring of the squad following Gareth Bale's transfer.

The Italian joined the side from AS Roma as they looked to restructure the club into a continental based like way.

The club however announced on Monday his departure.

He joined Spurs in 2013, working with manager Andre Villas-Boas and signing several players who flattered to deceived which proved fatal for the Portuguese manager who had to leave the club following poor results.

While some of those players have started to display some promising form others have left the club outline the Italian's time in London.

Among those of his signings that have been positive are Nacer Chadli, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela, who scored in the 4-1 win over Manchester City on Saturday.

The less impressive ones include Etienne Capoue, Paulinho and Roberto Soldado, who have all left the club.

His previous jobs include working in a similar role at Roma and was assistant manager to Fabio Capello with the England national team.
