Spain make history again! Become first country to have five teams in Champions League group stage

Following Valencia's defeat of AS Monaco 4-3 on aggregate in their play-off. Spain have made history, becoming the first country to have five teams qualify for the Champions League group stages.

Los Che, who were runners-up in the competition in 2000 and 2001, join La Liga's top three from last season: Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, while fifth-placed Sevilla are also in the draw by virtue of winning the Europa League earlier this year.

Ex Manchester City man Alvaro Negredo's scored the crucial away goal in the second leg against Monaco yesterday night.
