Crystal Palace 0-1 Manchester City: Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho the hero

Despite the introduction of summer signing from Wolfsburg Kevin de Bruyne, it was Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho that scored the decisive goal which helped Manuel Pellegrini's side's maintain their 100 per cent record.

The highly-rated youngster who was promoted to the club's first team this season climbed off the bench and upstaged fellow substitute Kevin de Bruyne to help his side to a 1-0 win.

The goal which came in stoppage time helped City extend their lead at the top of the table, five points clear of Arsenal and 11 points better off than ailing champions Chelsea.

Record signing Kevin De Bruyne came on in the first-half for his debut following an injury to talisman Sergio Aguero.

With the match heading for a draw that would have seen City drop points for the first time this term, the 18-year-old Nigerian Iheanacho, stole the headlines with his first goal for City as he converted from close range shortly after coming on as an 89th-minute replacement for Wilfried Bony.
