FIFA to probe transfer of David de Gea to Real Madrid

According to Sportsmail FIFA are set to launch a probe into the transfer David de Gea to Real Madrid. They are however waiting for the two clubs to file an appeal.

FIFA have not denied that an appeal has been made. It is understood United and Real will make it known that they feel the transfer should go ahead.

De Gea, meanwhile, remains none the wiser as to how this shambolic episode will play out. He is increasingly pessimistic, though.

De Gea is due to meet up with the Spanish national team tonight at 9pm in Madrid and he is still planning to be in attendance.

Interestingly, sources close to his agent Jorge Mendes have suggested that Navas may have been responsible for dragging the dealings out on Monday afternoon.

The Costa Rican was not desperate to join United and only agreed to make the move once it was clear that he had no future at Real Madrid. His indecisiveness is said to have eaten into precious time.
