Floyd Mayweather Snr vows to try and convince his son to fight once more after Andre Berto

Floyd Mayweather's father and trainer Floyd Mayweather Snr has said he will attempt to convince his son to fight once more if he fights very well against 'glass-jawed' Andre Berto at the MGM Grand on Saturday.
The Berto fight has been billed as the last time Mayweather Jr will get into the ring. However, with Rocky Marciano's 49-0 unbeaten record in sight - if he beats he Berto on Saturday he will equal it - there are expectations a 50th will occur which will give him the chance to own the record.
His father has however stated he will try to convince his son to fight one more time while also making sure to pick a strict deadline.
'It will definitely be up to him whether he makes the decision or not. But if he does not do whatever he decides to do within a six-month period, leave it alone. It's done.
'It's too long at his age. If he looks good on Saturday against Berto I'll say "let's do it one more time – let's have one last one." That's what I'm going to tell him.
'Right now we still have a fight on Saturday so I'm still here right now. We don't know what's going to happen on Saturday – we will have to wait and see because he might say "hey – I'm going to do it again, one more time".'
