Kilnsmann: USA couldn’t cope with Brazil's pace

The US national team coach has admitted his side were too powerless to stop Brazil after loosing to the five time world champions.

After only being a goal down after half time, his team were torn to shreds following the introductions of Neymar, Rafinha and Lucas Moura.

The Americans found it difficult to cope with the three players with Neymar bagging a brace and Rafinha scoring with his first touch while Lucas Moura picked up a couple of assists.

The German born coach also pointed at the increased pace of the game which his lads found too fast to deal with.

Speaking to reporters he said:

"Their tempo, their speed of play, speed of thought and speed of execution - all those elements were very impressive."

"For us, it was a huge learning curve. It was a completely different tempo they set, and we couldn't go to that tempo."

About the tempo he said

"We're not used to that, it's the tempo that is played in the Champions League. They're always two thoughts ahead. That's a level we're trying to catch as fast as we can."
