No goals but Ronaldo still shooting as much as ever

The Portuguese is enduring a goalless start to the season. The man who is synonymous to goals has found him self without any goal in all the official matches played so far.
The last time the soon to be Real Madrid top scorer hit the back of the nett was back in July, when he notched in the second pre-season game, against Manchester City.
However, despite the barren run, it is important to note that the former Manchester United player is still regularly getting into the right positions and trying his luck, which seems to be out right now.

One revealing fact shows that the Portuguese ace has had the most shots (16) - 11 more than Gareth Bale and 14 more than Karim Benzema - of any Real Madrid player in La Liga to date this term. He is also the Real Madrid player with the most attempts on target (9).
As he has continued his evolution into a centre forward, which started from last season he has been mostly on the end of moves. He is second when it comes to being at the end of moves (33 occasions).

The stats reveal he is partaking in actions in other areas of the pitch less and more active in the box. Although he starts from the left wing he is almost always on the end of moves, partaking in the build up less.

His output in terms of shots shows his influence on the team's play has dwindled. He is ninth in the Real Madrid charts for the most passes played, eighth for attacks he has participated in and ninth for all-round involvement in attacking and defensive moves.
Considering how frequently he is shooting and his goalscoring pedigree, the law of averages suggests that it is only a matter of time before Ronaldo ends his month-and-a-half-long barren spell at Real Madrid.

He has also been known to start the season slowly before hitting his highest point throughout the season in September, October and November.
While the shots might be refusing to go in, you can certainly count on him not to stop shooting.
