Novak Djokovic overcomes Feliciano Lopez challenge to march into US Open semi-finals

This is as diffuclt a challenge as they come and the top seed Novak Djokovic passed it as well as anyone could.
The net-charging Spaniard Feliciano Lopez employs a serve and volley style that is rarely employed on the circuit. His opponents have found it difficult to deal with so far.
In his match against Rafa Nadal's conqueror, Fabio Foginni in the previous round, the Italian found it difficult to deal with the Spanish no 3's constant forays to the net.
However in world no 1 Djokovic, Lopez found his match. In what ultimately became a duel of volleys and passing shots, the current Australian Open and Wimbledon champion was able to book his spot in the semi-finals of the US Open in the late hours of Wednesday.
The entertaining battle against the 33-year-old serve-and-volleyer saw Djokovic emerge winner after he won 7-2 in the fourth set tiebreaker to complete a 6-1 3-6 6-3 7-6 (2) victory.
He will face Marin Cilic of Croatia in the semi-finals after the defending champion advanced with a five-set win against France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
