Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas believes the Portuguese attacker who became the club's all-time top goalscorer in the league on Saturday has proved beyond any doubt that he is the game's ultimate star.
The Portuguese attacker who became Madrid's all-time top goalscorer in La Liga, scored five tines against Espanyol to overtake former captain Raul Gonzalez. It brought his tally up to 230 in 203 games, two more than Raul who is on 228 in 550.
He also used the opportunity to state his belief that his teammate is better than Lionel Messi. Navas told the reporters:
"We all know he is the best in the world, he's an incredible player.
"We did a great job. The team comes out of this game in a very positive situation and that will give us confidence.
"We're managing to stop sides creating chances and I played with calm and confidence. I'm eager to work hard."
