Jurgen Klopp will only take Liverpool job if these conditions are met... Read More

Former Borrusia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has stated his readiness to end his sabbatical and join Liverpool. The German coach departed Dortmund after 7 successful years at the club at the end of last season.

Rumours have linked the German with the Liverpool coaching job with fans unhappy with the lack of progress under current manager Brendan Rodgers.

He has however stated the conditions which have to be met if he is to join the five time European Champions. He has demanded that Liverpool's transfer committee be scraped he also wants to make sure he is a unanimous choice rather than just elements within the club.

He is the favourite to replace Rodgers alongside former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti should owner John W Henry and the Fenway Sports Group decide to make a change.

He is also worried about the divide within the hierarchy with some favourable towards Rodgers than others. The key decision-makers at Liverpool are Henry, chairman Tom Werner, Merseyside-based American director Mike Gordon and managing director Ian Ayre.

While the former Mainz manager is willing to coach the Reds he is in no hurry as he has a strong reputation within the game after leading Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles and a Champions League final.

The German is also aware the Bayern Munich job could become available during the summer should Pep Guardiola not decide to renew his contract with the German Champions.

Liverpool have so far denied making any approach to any other potential manager to succeed Rodgers.
