LVG does not hate South Americans - Rojo

Rojo who has yet to play for Manchester United this season after being fined £140,000 for turning up late for the club's America tour because of passport issues has defended his manager Louis van Gaal who has been in the news over the last few days.

The Argentine was on the verger of leaving Old Trafford in the summer. He however stayed to fight for his place and is now ready to return from a groin injury.

With speculation that the player's problems stem from the fact that he is South American with Diego Forlan claiming Van Gaal wasn't a fan of players from the continent, the player has however sought to clarify things.

'The fact that he holds a bad relationship with South American player is just a feeling [opinion],' Rojo said.

'I've been there with [Antonio] Valencia, [Radamel] Falcao, Angel [Di Maria] and he treated us all the same, he never treated us differently.

'Maybe because of his [poor] relationship with Roman [Riquelme] or with Angel leaving, some people got the wrong idea, but he treats us all the same. He is a great person and makes no differences between Europeans and South Americans.'

The Argentine will be hopeful of being back defending for the team rather than defending Van Gaal after featuring for Argentina over the international break.
