James display shows Benitez the way

After being  left out of the starting line-up by Rafa Benitez in Real Madrid's draw at Sporting Gijon last weekend, James Rodriguez responded emphatically in this match.

He assisted Gareth Bale's goal after just 94 seconds to put his side ahead at the Bernabeu.

Even though Bale was the scorer, the most credit should go to James who left Bale with no other choice but to convert. The Colombian made the goal for the Welshman with a delightful cross.

He also set Toni Kroos for another great chance moments later before getting on the score sheet himself with an unstoppable curling free-kick that came off the post from in tight angle.

He later combined with Bale to set up the returning Karim Benzema for a headed goal. Two minutes after that, James got his second of the night with a wonderful overhead kick after being set up by Kroos.

After leaving out James last week manager, Rafa Benitez was question as to why he left the Colombia international at El Molinon last weekend.

However wit this performance, James has made a difficult choice between him and Isco easy for the manager.

Despite the fact that Isco is a wonderful player, one who would walk into most teams first XI in the world, the Colombian however showed on Saturday that he is the better playmaker.
