Pulis not expecting Tottenham to come back for Berahino

The north London side missed out on the England Under-21 international during the last transfer window and the West Brom manager is not expecting Daniel Levy to come back for the Burundi born forward in the future.

The White Hart Lane outfit failed in their pursuit of Saido Berahino with West Brom unwilling to sell the 22-year-old forward much to the player's frustrations.

It lead to the youngster tweeting that he would never play for West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace again on deadline day.

However after being left out of West Brom's last three matches, Pulis said on Friday that the striker could make a return for Saturday's Premier League clash with Southampton.

Asked if Tottenham would make a renewed attempt at signing the striker in the future he said:

"Personally I don't think Tottenham will ever come back - I don't think that will happen, there are other clubs out there who if they're interested, they're interested, but I'm sure Saido will deal with it in a different way to how he did this time.

"I just think most probably the two clubs have tried to do a deal and it's not worked and not happened. I don't see Daniel [Levy, Tottenham's chairman] coming back to try to sign Saido again. I might be wrong."It is not anything. It's just my feeling. I just don't see Daniel coming back."

They would hope the striker can score enough goals for the club as they look to maintain their premier league status.
